When the pioneer of outdoor fashion and the pioneer of modern and contemporary art meet, the story is written in colour for the world outside. The first collaboration between Aigle and the Centre Pompidou is 89% eco-designed and blends style with abstract art, inspired by Piet Mondrian's famous painting New York City (1942).
The MTD® Fishtail parkas in short and long versions are made from recycled polyester. The hoods enable optimal visibility and the drawstrings at the waist adapt to all body shapes.
The iconic Aigle boots also feature Mondrian's lines. The adult model is the perfect rain boot for visiting an exhibition or walking around town. The children's model brightens up the playground and unleashes kids' creativity.
The intensity of primary colours and Mondrian's creativity find a new field of expression through outdoor clothing and accessories.
Piet Mondrian painted this picture in 1942 during his exile in New York, to reflect the effervescence of the city. Now in the collection of the Centre Pompidou, the New York City masterpiece continues to exert its power of attraction. This canvas is emblematic of Mondrian's work with its primary colours echoing the inimitable architecture of the Centre Pompidou. More than 80 years after its creation, the colourful lines are escaping from the canvas to create stunning outfits. Off the beaten track and out of the frame, Aigle and the Centre Pompidou know no limits.
By combining their visions and commitments, Aigle and the Centre Pompidou have chosen to develop a two-year partnership to promote creation and sustainable development. After supporting the MOOC ("Massive Open Online Course") entitled "Art and Ecology" at the Centre Pompidou in October 2022, this 89% eco-designed capsule collection is the second step in this partnership for a more sustainable world.
Aigle, master rubber craftsman since 1853, continues to hand make its boots perpetuating a unique know-how in the protection of man in nature. In coherence with this heritage, boots, shoes and clothing also combine authenticity, style and function. High standards and attention to detail are at the heart of the design of all collections to guarantee a durable and essential product.
